Q. In XP I had a way to shutdown the computer without installing a pending update. In Vista and Windows 7, there isn't this choice and the update always gets installed. Can I change this default action?

Q. In Windows 7, I have my wallpaper, cursors, icons, sounds etc. all set up the way I want them, but installing or changing a theme destroys all my settings. How can I prevent this from happening?
