DADDY BOB'S COMPUTER Q & A
Other
Interests
(still
mostly computer related.) |
Sign-In
Electronically™
Sign-In Electronically™
addresses privacy concerns that arise during
traditional sign-in procedures. In years past a
simple paper sign-in sheet and clipboard did the
job. Today technology allows all businesses the
opportunity to convert to electronic capture.
|
In March of 2001,
Robert Epstein founded
Sign-In Electronically™ to address the
need for a more private and confidential
method of recording patient/client
signatures. Two years of research and
product development resulted in the
release of three products during the
summer of 2003 that have successfully
met this need. |
 |
By the start of
2007, customer interest and desires led to
continuing research and development, increasing the
product line from the original three to twenty
different programs. Products for a single
installation on one computer up to client/server
networks with access for up to fifteen networked
computers are currently available. All have been
designed to fulfill the needs of may different types
of organizations and facilities.
Dependency on
electronic Signature Capture has grown rapidly since
the turn of the century. In today's world, a practice or
company's success is highly dependent on its
knowledge and use of up to date computer technology
and security.
I am primarily involved in
research, development and support, and provide
intensive "beta" testing of all the programs. I have written the
complex installation program script, the
installation instructions and the Operation Manuals.

Harris County Senior Center
I am involved
with the Senior Center in the roll of providing
services as required to maintain their computers and
other electronic equipment and
render advise when asked. Most of the computers at
the center are older ones that have been retired by
those that have upgraded to newer ones. As one of the
folks there told me, "I don't mind playing with an
old slow computer. I am old too, and not so fast as
I once was, so we get along just fine".
Most of what they
do is play games, their favorite being "Spider
Solitaire", but they also surf the Internet and send
and receive email. The Senior Center has a fully
functionally DSL broadband wireless network. This
made them one
of the first public organizations in the county to
have Wireless Broadband Internet access.
FOCUS
(Fellowship Of Christians United in
Service)
I maintain
the computers and network for this organization.
FOCUS is a faith based non profit organization
dedicated to helping the less fortunate and those in
need in Harris County, Ga. Their ministries include
a clothing thrift shop, food bank, providing
monetary assistance for medical bills and
prescriptions, helping with utility payments,
promoting child abuse prevention, and assisting with
home repairs. Visit their web site

CWDA (Chattahoochee Web Designers Association)
Although I an not
a web designer, I enjoy meeting with this group at a
once a month lunch get together. Some of the best
web designers in the Chattahoochee valley are members.
Other than just
enjoying being around them, sometimes I even learn
something. Visit their site

My
Business Card
(Actually
my hobby card as I don't really work).
I repair computer
hardware and clean unwanted malware from users
computers charging only what replacement parts cost
if any are needed. I also salvage usable parts from
old computers and use these to refurbish usable
computers which are given to deserving people.
