Q. What is Bluetooth

Q. Do you know of a utility that will tell me what programs are taking up how much space on each drive? I really would like to know what is taking up so much space?

Q. I was advised to do a System Restore to fix a computer problem. But, when I tried to do it, I had no System Restore points available. Why not?

Q. When I right click on the “My Computer” icon on my computer, the menu I get is the same as any other shortcut. On my friends computer it is a different menu. Why are they different?

Q. What is SCRIPT and what does it do?  This morning when I tried to start a program a dialog box saying an error has occurred; access denied.  Do you want to continue running scripts?  YES/NO. I guessed yes which apparently was the wrong answer because after that, the icon was totally unresponsive.  I restarted the computer & then it worked normally.

Q. My ISP says my DSL modem is on the way and when I get it I must install a Network Interface Card if I don't already have one. How do I tell if I have one?

Q. When I press CTRL+ALT+DEL, my Task Manager opens. Clicking on the Processes tab then displays all the "stuff" that is running. The names are all foreign to me. How can I tell what they are, and if I really need them running?

Q. Sometimes my hard drive takes off and my computer slows down and something is happening, but I cannot tell what it is. How can I tell what is doing this?

Q. I found a program called Registry program on the Internet and when I ran it, I came up with these results. 487 Problems found. 366 Total Items restricted. My question is, are the two items dangerous to the operation of my machine and if so do I need to buy this program to correct the Registry

Q. I have a stupid little window that pops up every time I start my computer, asking be to buy something. I have traced it down to a file that I tried to delete. But, every time I try to delete it, I'm told that I can't. How can I get rid of this file?

Q. I plugged a USB Jump drive into  the hub and several times saw a message that it would perform better if plugged into a high speed port- "click here to see available ports".   I clicked and saw a highlighted listing with "8 unused ports"  but didn't know where to find them.

Q. Many times I want to print just a portion of something on a web page, but every time I try the whole pages prints. How can print just a part of a page?

Q. Does it matter if I rename a file by right clicking "rename" or just highlight the name & type in the new name?

Q. I read your article for Nov 10, 2005 about the red X in email, but that didn't solve my problem. I am still getting the red X in email from one particular person. How can I fix this?

Q. I was looking at the specs for a new computer and see that it uses something called SATA connections. What is SATA?

Q. When I right clock my desktop, choose Properties then the Appearance tab, under the Color scheme I only have three choices, Blue, Green or silver. On a friends computer he has many times more. Schemes like Brick, Desert, Eggplant, and many more. Why does he have so many and I so few?

Q. I accidentally deleted the icon in the Quick Launch toolbar that shows the desktop. How can I get it back?

Q. I had an email rejected because it had a potentially executable attachment  "sample.eml". I was told that this form of attachment has been used by recent viruses or other malware.  If I meant to send this file then I should package it as a zip file and resend it. How would I package it as a zip file?

Q. I have Norton System Works, Spybot Search & Destroy, and Spy Sweeper.  Are all of these really needed?  In your opinion, just what program might "do it all" in protecting computers?

Q. While I had my computer opened, I removed and examined the DRAM Memory modules. They were both the same except for one thing. One had CL-2.5, and the other had CL-3. What is this CL mean?

Q. I would like to automatically put all messages from a specific address in a folder as they come in so they do not appear in my in box. I am using Outlook Express. The email always comes from a Yahoo group. Can that be done?
