Q.
Sometimes when I open a web site in Internet
Explorer there is a little icon in the
bottom tray that looks like a red circle
with a line through it. If I hold the mouse
pointer over it, it says Privacy Report.
What's this all about?

I recently installed Microsoft
Office and now in my Start Menu
Outlook has taken over from Outlook
Express. I don't want to use
Outlook, so how do I get Outlook

Q. I
installed a game for my grandson on my
computer & now when I highlight, instead
of turning blue, it turns turquoise. I
could uninstall the game, but can I
change back to blue some other way?

When I boot my PC
and the wallpaper appears it
takes about 2 minutes for the
Icons (desktop) to appear. I
have tried several things but
nothing works. What can I do
besides put my foot through it?

Q. I recently had to reinstall XP.
Now I can not receive emails unless I
click on send/receive. They send okay
but not receive. I know there is
something to do that makes it receive,
but I cannot find it.
Q. I
updated to Internet Explorer 7, and now
the email icon is no longer there. How
do I get it back?
Q.
Recently, I have been unable to get my
screen saver to run. I can see the
screen savers while in display
properties and select preview but they
will not initiate after time selected
has gone by...Any ideas? |

Q.
Some times when I am running an
application, I get a "runtime error". It
has a number and some message that I
don't understand. What are these runtime
errors all about?
Q. Sometimes when I go to a
website a box pops up that asks "Do
you want to allow Java applets ?"
Nothing noticeable happens if I say
yes or no and the same question pops
up repeatedly as I move around the
site. What is a Java appellate?
Should I allow them or not?

Q.
When I click on Start and a program has
recently been installed, there is a popup
that tells me that there has been a new
program installed. I find this annoying so
can this popup be turned off?
Q. Doesn't XP have a pretty
good pop up blocker in it? IF it does
how do you install it? If it doesn't do
you know of a pretty good one that is

hit on a file in a folder called _restore
that cannot be cleaned, deleted or
guaranteed. What's this all about? |
